What to expect
Temporary changes underway on US 101 in Sequim
Travelers will notice a change to US 101 between Happy Valley Road and Palo Alto Road. A portion of the highway has shifted onto a temporary two lane bypass road.
- The speed limit is 30 mph
- People walking or riding bicycles on US 101 between Blyn and Sequim will detour onto the Olympic Discovery Trail.
Intersection of US 101 and Whitefeather Way closed to all traffic
- The intersection of Whitefeather Way and US 101 is closed until summer 2025.
- Travelers will detour via West Sequim Bay Road.
- Access to Olympic Discovery Trail from Whitefeater Way remains open.
Existing two lane bypass road
- Near Gardiner at milepost 277.9 – Contractors Creek
- Expect daytime shoulder closures and occasional night one-lane alternating traffic.
This project will replace six existing culverts beneath US 101 between milepost 267 and 278.
