Project overview
This project will pave roughly three miles of eastbound State Route 18 from C Street Southwest to Green River. Crews working for WSDOT will rehabilitate the existing roadway surface, deteriorated bridge decks and joints of the C Street Southwest bridge and five eastbound on and off-ramps. Once contractor crews finish repairing expansion joints and grinding and inlaying new HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt), the roadway surface will have a smoother ride that will be preserved for years to come.
What to expect
During construction, crews will grind the road surface and inlay new HMA. Crews will also rehabilitate deteriorated bridge decks and joints of the C Street Southwest bridge. Throughout the project, there will be nightly ramp and single-lane closures from C Steet Southwest to Green River. Travelers can expect approximately three-weekend closures on SR 18 from C Street Southwest to SR 164. Drivers can also expect a one to two-night closure of eastbound SR-18 for the work concerning BR-18/8S. Times and dates for closures have not yet been determined.
