I-90 Vantage Bridge – Replace Bridge Deck and Special Repairs

Project overview

This project replaces the existing bridge deck on the I-90 Vantage Bridge to maintain the structural integrity, ensure the safety of the highway and extend the life of the bridge. The Vantage Bridge was built in 1962 and the last time the bridge received a major overhaul was in 1982.

What to expect

Lane closure and width restrictions have been updated as of Aug. 30, 2024. Please read carefully. 

After Labor Day

• One lane closed in both directions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
• Narrow lanes and shoulders.
• Reduced speeds through the work zone.
• Vehicles over 9 feet wide are prohibited across the bridge.

Travelers will experience long delays eastbound on Fridays and westbound on Sundays and are encouraged to choose alternate routes.
