SPOKANE – Spring has sprung around the Spokane area, which means construction crews can resume work on the long anticipated North Spokane Corridor.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin by closing East Euclid Avenue between North Market and North Ralph streets starting at 7 a.m. Monday, April 15.
Crews will rebuild the roadway under the newly constructed North Spokane Corridor overpass and at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing. Work is anticipated to last through Friday, May 31.
During the closure, drivers will follow a signed detour via North Market Street to East Wellesley Avenue and North Freya Street.
This work is part of the Spokane River to Columbia project that recently opened the new section along with 1.5 miles of the North Spokane Corridor south from Freya Street to Wellesley Avenue in November 2023.
