Learn about safety and mobility improvements planned for the overpass
SUMNER – Future improvements and investments for the State Route 162/SR 410 overpass in Sumner are the focus of an online open house.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12th the Washington State Department of Transportation invites people who use the overpass to participate in an online open house to provide feedback on the interchange’s future.
A roundabout is planned on each side of the overpass. The proposed improvements will increase mobility and reduce congestion-related delays.
A 2017 SR 162 Sumner to Orting Corridor Planning Study recommended that roundabouts be incorporated in any future improvements along the corridor at existing intersections.
The online open house will run from Sept. 12 to Oct. 12, 2023, and is available in both English and Spanish.
