Expansion joint replacement

Expansion joints run across the width of the highway. They allow for expansion and contraction with weather. They also flex under the weight of heavy vehicles.

Replacement reduces the chances a joint will break and need emergency closures.

Chip seal

This project repaired and preserved three separate areas of two state highways. Some areas have not seen a new surface in 23 years.

Chip sealing has several benefits. The construction will extend the useful life of the roadway for years to come.

• Provides an anti-glare surface during wet weather.
• Provides increased reflective surface for night driving.
