Online open house for project on Key Peninsula begins April 12
GIG HARBOR – Community members can learn more about a planned roundabout on State Route 302 at 118th Avenue Northwest during an online open house.
Starting today, April 12, the Washington State Department of Transportation will host an online open house featuring a new single-lane roundabout, which will replace stop signs on 118th Avenue Northwest.
Visitors to the open house are encouraged to leave feedback to help with the final design of the roundabout. Construction is likely to begin in 2024.
Roundabouts help reduce the potential for crashes while keeping people moving. WSDOT routinely reviews intersections in rural areas on the state highway system to find ways to reduce potential collisions.
